  • Make a list of 4 potential activities/places that you could do your community service at.

3. Resume 50 points Draft Due 12/9/2011
  • Write an Objective statement. What do hope to accomplish with this resume? What is the goal?
    • Example: To help others by working in a healthcare setting
  • Make a list of ALL of your past employment (jobs) or volunteer positions.
  • For each, you will need:
    • The dates (month and year) that you worked/volunteered
    • The address and phone number of the business
    • The name of a Supervisor or someone in charge who can verify that you worked there
    • A short (1 or 2 sentences) description of what you did at each business
  • The name, address, and phone number of your school. Include the name of the principal.

When you have gathered this information, bring it to your teacher. We will then work on putting together the resume.


4. Most Influenced 50 points Draft Due 4/16/2012 Final Copy Due 4/20/2012
  • This essay is written to tell colleges who or what inspired you. This gives them a picture of who you are as a person.
    • Background
      • Who or what is important to you? Give a little information or background about the person or thing.
    • Description
      • Use Specific Details and examples of what that person has done that makes him or her important or why that thing is important.
    • Conclusion
      • ENd the essay by asking for help. Words to use to convey your tone are: although, help me, society will benefit, financial aid, scholarships, work study programs, or grants.
